本专辑中收录的是美籍俄国知名小提琴家亚莎•海菲兹演奏的《贝多芬降E大调第1号钢琴三重奏，op.1》和《贝多芬第二号钢琴三重奏，OP.70，降E大调》。亚莎•海菲兹(Jascha•Heifetz，1901-1987)，二十世纪杰出的美籍立陶宛小提琴家;1901年出生于当时属于俄罗斯的立陶宛首都维尔纽斯。俗话说“金无足赤，人无完人”，小提琴的音准取决于演奏者手指按弦的位置是否准确，半毫米之差音已经大不相同，因此小提琴演奏中出现杂音、错音是再所难免的。然而，这条定律在海菲兹身上却失去了作用。帕尔曼曾说：“海飞兹大大地改革了小提琴的技巧，并把小提琴的演奏技巧推向了光芒万丈的巅峰。”贝多芬第一号钢琴三重奏，OP.1.，降E大调，据推测大约是1792年前后的作品，OP.1的3首都呈献给李希诺夫斯基伯爵。第二号钢琴三重奏，OP.70，降E大调，大约作于1808年。贝多芬在这首三重奏中，追求一种生气盎然而又活泼的气氛，但缺少动人的高潮，因此评论家们认为结构有些松散。曲目列表：01.Sonata for Violin and Cello in D Major: I.
